In the city of Kuopio, Finland, an old classic restaurant, Intro, has undergone a major renovation by Joanna Laajisto team. The new restaurant is light and airy with a subtle color palette. Some punches of color are added in the textiles and fixtures, such as the sofas covered in woven Kvadrad wool fabric by Paul Smith and Delightfull’sdesigned red lamps Diana suspended above the counter height table.
Finlandia Caviar Shop and Restaurant is a place where you can purchase the finest quality caviar and oysters, or enjoy them on the spot with a glass of bubbly or vodka. The objective for the interior concept was a fresh, Scandinavian look that compliments the historical building it is located in.

“DINING BY STILL WATER” was designed by Joanna Laajisto for the Helsinki Design Week. With Finnish luxury being one of the core focuses of the festival, Laajisto explored the idea of luxury in today’s society. After contemplating what luxury meant to her, Laajisto drew inspiration from her childhood memories spent at her family’s cottage by the lake in Finland’s countryside.
This elegant apartment combines luxury and Scandinavian design. Carefully designed panelling on the walls create a bold darker tone for the interiors adapting with the dark brown floor, but same time the panelling also creates ingenious space saving storage units for books and other stuff.
